The handheld series tt7000 is developed as a modular product range. This concept allows the integration of a wide variety of components for almost all mobile applications with significant reduction of costs at the same time. The standard device is the common basis for the entire product family.

Customer specific demands and wishes can be taken in account as well as additional expansion by using card slots or the unique BackPack technology. Instead of replacing the complete device only modular extensions are required for later on demands in mobile applications. This concept is the guaranty for minimizing the spare part stock as well as accessories and consumables. All cables and batteries c

an be used in all devices; one cradle supports the complete product family. With the handheld series tt7000 mobile users have everything they need.

The tt7000 series is designed for use in extreme working conditions. No protruding antennas, no unnecessary ports, protection against drop, dust and splash water guarantee a long life time.

In addition to the integrated modem* for GSM/GPRS/Easy-GPRS, the tt7000 series offers models with WLAN, Bluetooth, laser scanner, camera, imager, internal GPS receiver, RFID reader, magnetic and/or chip card reader.

The standard rechargeable battery guarantees an exceptionally long period of use (up to 10 – 13 hours).

Operating system

The tt7000 series runs on the operating systems Windows CE.NET® 4.2 and 5.0.

These operating systems allow the simple and future-oriented integration of various software applications.
Optimal support for WLAN, Bluetooth or GPRS is guaranteed.

Functionality and data transfer

With the variety of models and components for almost all mobile applications the tt7000 series fulfils the demands for mobile computing.
All the integrated features are the result of many years of experience and customer projects.
The tt7000 series is characterised by an optimum cost/performance ratio, multi-functionality as well as integration of barcode scanners and RFID readers (125 KHz – 868 MHz) in one housing.
In the communicator edition, the device additionally has a full-fledged phone function, which, aside from data transfer, allows calling without additional accessories.

Maximum number of interfaces

The device has three free programmable serial interfaces, one CF card slot, one

SD card slot and IrDA and USB connections. One of the three serial interfaces is located on the rear of the device. This allows easy connection to printers, GPS receivers, or other peripherals (e.g. temperature recorder), in addition to integrated scanners, Imager and RFID (125 KHz – 868 MHz).

 Upgradeability and hardware add-ons

The unique BackPack solution enables the additional use of many different expansion modules.
The BackPack accepts almost any board (as long as it doesn’t exceed the housing dimensions).For example, RFID readers, GPS modules (incl. antenna) as well as magnetic or chip card readers from different manufacturers can be integrated in addition to barcode scanners.
